Client: Starbuck’s Mastrena
challenge
Starbucks had a new espresso machine being architected called the Mastrena. This machine allowed baristas to custom taylor each espresso throwing shot. Starbucks was looking to go green and deploy training in a non printed fashion. They wanted to reduce trainers time in front of all their barista by allowing computer based training. They needed training to take place before the machines arrived in their stores.

We were brought in to design a virtual espresso experience and to set up their eLearning framework. Their new machine the Mastrena, required new training for Barista’s to learn before acquiring the machine. This application applied Flash Actionscript 2 and XML to deploy a hands on espresso throwing, milk steaming, and machine breakdown cleaning experience.
